Job summary

Nippon Paint (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a proactive Procurement professional to support day-to-day operations, negotiate prices, analyze costs, and ensure timely, cost-effective procurement of products and services. You will coordinate with internal departments and suppliers to resolve supply issues and manage procurement documentation.

The role requires a chemistry background, 2–5 years in a chemical manufacturing setting, and experience with SAP.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemistry or Applied Chemistry from a recognised institution.
• 2–5 years of experience in chemical’s manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience in procurement or purchasing of waterproofing, flooring, painting tools, and raw materials.

Responsibilities

• Price negotiation, reviewing, comparing and analysing products and services purchased.
• Provide analysis on costs, new and existing, and review cost reduction activities.
• Support the purchasing function and other relevant departments and communicate supply issues impacting operations.
• Review documentation before submission for item code creation and new vendor registration.
• Manage SST-related applications and ensure proper monitoring and compliance.
