Job summary

Private Advertiser seeks an experienced professional to own and grow key customer accounts in the tires/auto aftermarket sector. You will develop plans to retain and expand business, understand client needs, and deliver professional after-sales support while coordinating purchasing and stock management with internal teams.

Travel for customer visits may be required; strong relationship management and negotiation skills are essential to optimize margins and cash flow.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of relevant experience in tires and/or automotive aftermarket or distribution.
• Willing to travel for customer visits and occasional outstation work.

Responsibilities

• Manage and strengthen relationships with existing customer accounts
• Identify and develop new customer accounts and business opportunities
• Understand customer requirements and provide professional after-sales service
• Handle customer enquiries, complaints and product-related issues
• Follow up on outstanding payments and coordinate with Accounts for timely collection
• Monitor customer purchasing patterns and identify opportunities for additional sales
• Conduct customer visits and travel outstation when required
• Monitor sales trends, stock movement and inventory levels
• Coordinate with Management and Accounts to determine stock levels and purchasing requirements
• Negotiate with overseas suppliers on pricing, availability, lead time and supply requirements
• Monitor purchase orders and follow up on shipment and delivery schedules
• Identify potential supply issues and minimise stock shortages or excess inventory
• Handle defective products and supplier-related issues
• Follow up on warranty claims, replacement goods, credit notes and other supplier claims
