Speedwork Autocare Sdn Bhd is seeking a proactive Business Development professional in Malaysia to identify and secure new opportunities, engage with retailers and distributors, and convert leads into long-term clients.
You will drive revenue by targeting key market segments, manage distributor sales teams, and expand the local sales and service network through regular on-site visits. Strong market insight and customer advisory skills are essential for success.
Business Development: Proactively identify and secure new business opportunities through prospecting, cold calling, and direct engagement with retail shops and distributors, converting leads into long-term clients.
Sales Performance: Drive revenue growth by targeting key market segments within the assigned territory, consistently meeting and exceeding sales targets.
Distributor & Dealer Management: Lead, coach, and manage distributor sales teams, ensuring full compliance with the Company’s sales policies, processes, and brand strategies.
Field Engagement & Network Expansion: Conduct regular on-site customer visits to drive sell-through, strengthen existing relationships, and expand the local sales and service network.
Market Intelligence: Gather and analyse market insights, including retail landscape data, competitor activities, and vehicle registration trends by segment, to support strategic decision-making.
Customer Advisory: Provide consultative support to customers, enhancing their service standards and operational efficiency to build long-term loyalty.
Reporting & Administration: Prepare and submit timely reports to Management (including order management reports) and perform necessary administrative tasks to support the Order Management function.
Ad-hoc Duties: Undertake any other duties as assigned by Management.
Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Business, Sales & Marketing, Automotive or related field.
Minimum 2 - 3 years of sales experience in the automotive or tire industry, preferably in engine oil / lubricants / car battery / accessories or spare parts.
Proven track record in achieving and exceeding sales targets.
Strong experience in distributor management, dealer network development, and territory sales management.
Strong strategic planning, negotiation, and business development skills.
Good understanding of market trends, competitor activities, and automotive industry dynamics.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship management skills.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and market information.
Comfortable with cold-calling.
Willing to travel frequently within the assigned territory.
Possess a valid driving license.
