Job summary

Al-Ikhsan Sports Sdn Bhd (Retail) is seeking a Store Manager/Senior Assistant Manager to oversee daily operations, coach the team, and drive sales in a dynamic sports retail environment. You will monitor performance, manage inventory, and ensure top-notch customer service while maintaining brand standards.

The role requires leadership, strong communication, and a passion for sports. Weekend and shift rotation work are expected, with opportunities for career growth and staff discounts on sports

Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Retail Management, Marketing, or related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in retail sales or store supervision (sports retail experience is an advantage).
• Proficient in Store Metrics such as AUP (Average Unit per Transaction), IPT (Items per Transaction), and ATV (Average Transaction Value).
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Willing to work on weekends, public holidays, and rotational shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store/Sales Manager in overseeing daily store operations and staff performance.
• Achieve individual and store sales targets through proactive selling and upselling.

• Monitor sales performance, analyse data, and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Ensure the highest standards of customer service and satisfaction.
• Manage visual merchandising, stock display, and product replenishment according to company guidelines.
• Handle inventory control, stock takes, and loss prevention activities.
• Support recruitment, training, and development of store staff.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and operational standards.
• Prepare and present sales and performance reports to management.
• Act as the person-in-charge in the absence of the Store / Branch Manager.
