Job summary

Al-Ikhsan Sports Sdn Bhd (Retail) in Malaysia seeks a Store Manager (SM) / Assistant Store Manager (ASM) to oversee daily store operations and drive sales targets. You will lead and develop the sales team, monitor performance, and ensure excellent customer service in a busy sports retail environment.

The role requires a Diploma or Bachelor's in Retail Management or related field and 1–2 years of retail supervision experience.

• Diploma or degree in Retail Management, Marketing or related field.
• 1–2 years of retail sales or store supervision experience.
• Familiar with store metrics (AUP, IPT, ATV).
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store/Sales Manager in overseeing daily store operations and staff performance.
• Achieve individual and store sales targets through proactive selling and upselling.
• Lead, motivate, and coach the sales team to achieve individual and store sales targets.
• Monitor sales performance, analyse data, and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Ensure the highest standards of customer service and satisfaction.
• Manage visual merchandising, stock display, and product replenishment according to company guidelines.
• Handle inventory control, stock takes, and loss prevention activities.
• Support recruitment, training, and development of store staff.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and operational standards.
• Prepare and present sales and performance reports to management.
• Act as the person-in-charge in the absence of the Store / Branch Manager.

Candidates who are proficient in Store Metrics such as AUP (Average Unit per Transaction), IPT (Items per Transaction), and ATV (Average Transaction Value) will have an added advantage.

Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.

Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

Able to work on weekends, public holidays, and rotational shifts.
