Job summary

CARDIAC VASCULAR SENTRAL (Kuala Lumpur) Sdn. Bhd. (CVSKL) is seeking a Nursing professional to support HealthScan operations. The role includes reviewing patient history, obtaining ECHO results, monitoring vitals, and coordinating with physicians for safe pre-procedure steps.

The successful candidate will hold a Nursing Diploma/Bachelor, APC, and be registered with the Malaysian Nursing Board, ensuring high standards of patient care and safety within a premier cardiovascular centre.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor in Nursing is required.
• Valid Annual Practising Certificate (APC) is required.
• Registered with the Malaysian Nursing Board is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Manager and Senior Manager of HealthScan in carrying out any other duties assigned from time to time.
• Obtain ECHO results and review patient history including asthma; monitor blood pressure and pulse rate; consult doctor about Beta-Blocker use prior to CT Coronary Angiography.
• Review patient history of drug allergies, especially to contrast media; check standing orders for antihistamines before contrast procedures.
• Carry out emergency treatment and interventions when necessary.
• Explain steps of procedures, effects of contrast media and breathing instructions; conduct breathing practice with the patient when needed.
• Ensure consent forms are signed by patient and doctor and that patient understands the procedure.

Job description

Assist the Manager and Senior Manager of HealthScan in carrying out any other duties assigned from time to time.

Obtain ECHO results and review the patient's history of asthma. Check the patient's blood pressure and pulse rate, and consult the doctor regarding the need for Beta-Blocker medication prior to the procedure (for patients undergoing CT Coronary Angiography).

Obtain and review the patient's history of drug allergies, particularly allergies to contrast media. Check for standing instructions from the doctor regarding the administration of antihistamines prior to any contrast media procedure.

Carry out emergency treatment and interventions when necessary.

Explain the procedure steps, the effects of contrast media, and the importance of following breathing instructions. Conduct breathing practice with the patient when necessary.

Ensure the consent form is signed by both the patient and the doctor. Confirm that the patient is aware of and understands the procedure to be performed.

Job Requirements

Diploma/Bachelor in Nursing.

Possess a valid Annual Practising Certificate (APC).

Registered with the Malaysian Nursing Board.
