(CVSKL) is seeking a qualified anaesthesia nurse to conduct pre-anesthetic screening and comprehensive patient assessments within a private Cardiac and Vascular Centre of Excellence. You will monitor vital signs, oversee post-anesthesia recovery, assist the anesthesiologist, maintain OT readiness, participate in on-call duties, and ensure compliance with MOH regulations and infection control standards while supporting discharge planning and

Qualifications

• Valid Post Basic Certificate in Anaesthesia.
• Cardiac OT experience is preferred.
• Able to support the OT’s operational and clinical requirements.
• Willing to participate in on-call duties, and support Recovery.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-anesthetic screening and comprehensive patient assessments.
• Monitor patients' vital signs, oversee post-anesthesia recovery, and report changes to the anesthesiologist.
• Assist the anesthesiologist in the administration of anesthesia and related procedures.
• Inspect and ensure medical equipment is functional and maintained according to preventive maintenance schedules.
• Maintain cleanliness and readiness of the operating theatre and equipment, while ensuring infection prevention and control standards.
• Respond promptly to surgical and clinical emergencies.
• Perform effective clinical handovers, coordinate discharge planning, and provide patient education for continuity of care.
• Deliver patient care in accordance with Clinical Governance requirements, IPSGs/MPSGs, MOH regulations, MSQH standards, and the Nursing Board Malaysia Professional Code of Conduct.

Job description

Monitor patients' vital signs, oversee post-anesthesia recovery, and promptly report any changes in patient condition to the anesthesiologist.

Assist the anesthesiologist in the administration of anesthesia and related procedures.

Inspect and ensure all medical equipment and devices are functional, safe for use, and maintained according to preventive maintenance schedules.

Maintain cleanliness and readiness of the operating theatre and equipment, while ensuring compliance with infection prevention and control standards.

Respond promptly and effectively to surgical and clinical emergencies.

Perform effective clinical handovers, coordinate discharge planning, and provide appropriate patient education to support continuity of care.

Deliver patient care in accordance with Clinical Governance requirements, IPSGs/MPSGs, MOH regulations, MSQH standards, and the Nursing Board Malaysia Professional Code of Conduct.
