Job summary

Renesas Electronics in Penang seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to qualify PQFN packages for SPS products, sustain assembly processes, and drive improvements for power modules.

You will ramp up volume, qualify sources, and work with Test, Product, Quality and Operations to boost yield, cost efficiency, and delivery. Knowledge of wire bonding and PQFN/WLCSP is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Materials, Physics, Chemistry or Applied Sciences.
• Experience in process engineering or package development of material/process/design of thin wafer handling and SPS solder attach processes.
• Knowledge in PQFNs/QFNs/WLCSP and leaded packages; wire bonding is a plus.
• Familiar with SPC and JMP or similar statistical software.
• Strong English communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Design package, develop processes to qualify PQFN (Power Quad Flat-No lead) packages for SPS products and its modules.
• Ramp up manufacturing volume and qualify required sources.
• Responsible for line sustaining; improve assembly yield, capacity, quality and costs.
• Address feedback/issues with Test, Product Engineers, Quality & Operations.
• Manage Product Lifecycle Management documents to latest status.
• Conduct change-management with suppliers to sustain/improve capacity and cost.
• Partner with Quality and Reliability to meet standards.
• Serve as manufacturing interface for NPI-to-production transfers.
• Manage OSAT and contract manufacturing relationships supporting production.
