Job summary

Reap is seeking a Staff Engineer/Tech Lead to own the architectural evolution of our embedded finance platform. This senior IC role drives scalable systems, tackles tech debt, and leads AI adoption with cross-team influence.

You will define the technical roadmap, mentor senior engineers, conduct design reviews, and partner with Card Engineering Managers to align platform initiatives with product goals, using TypeScript, Node.js, NestJS and AWS.

Qualifications

• 8+ years software engineering experience.
• Experience with distributed systems at scale.
• Ability to lead initiatives without direct authority.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the technical roadmap for the embedded finance platform.
• Lead AI adoption across engineering teams and drive automation of processes.
• Mentor senior engineers and conduct architecture/design reviews.
• Coordinate with Card Engineering Managers to align platform initiatives with product goals.
• Establish standards for code quality, observability, and reliability.
