Job summary

Reap is seeking a senior technical leader to serve as the Tech Lead for a Platform sub-team. You will own technical direction, architecture, and delivery while staying hands-on with code; people management is not required.

You will architect integrations, design APIs, and drive cloud delivery on AWS with IaC, CI/CD, and robust observability. AI-assisted development and mentorship are key parts of the role as you shape critical fintech infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 8-10+ years in backend or platform engineering with API-driven solutions.
• 2+ years in a technical leadership role (Tech Lead or Engineering Manager).
• Strong experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Proven AWS, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code capabilities.
• Relational databases experience (PostgreSQL/MySQL/Aurora).
• Experience with AI-assisted coding tools and LLM APIs a plus.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and maintain core platform integrations with external systems.
• Lead API design and service development for scalable data exchanges.
• Build and operate AWS-based services with IaC and CI/CD practices.
• Establish observability, monitoring, and incident response mechanisms.
• Promote AI-assisted development and practical AI adoption across the team.
• Set technical direction, review architecture, and mentor engineers.
