Job summary

Reap is a global fintech company enabling borderless finance with stablecoins, cards, and APIs. We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to own features from conception to deployment on a cross-functional team.

You will design scalable apps in AWS, collaborate across Product, Design and Engineering, and keep the stack modern with AI-assisted coding tools. The role emphasizes reliability, observability, and technical leadership in a fast-growing startup.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of fullstack development with end-to-end ownership of business-critical systems.
• Strong React.js ecosystem skills (TypeScript, Hooks, Redux/Zustand, React Query, MUI, Emotion/Styled Components).
• Backend: Node.js and TypeScript; APIs; event-driven/serverless systems; Python/Go/Nest.js a plus.
• Cloud & Database: AWS experience; PostgreSQL/MySQL; SQL fundamentals; ORMs (TypeORM, Prisma).
• Problem-Solving: curious, detail-oriented; strong debugging skills.
• Collaboration & Growth: effective communicator; ownership in fast-paced environment.
• AI-assisted coding: comfortable with AI tools and LLM APIs.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable applications in our AWS environment, meeting business requirements and high quality standards.
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to drive seamless product development from concept to deployment.
• Keep our tech stack modern by staying current with industry trends and technologies.
• Enhance observability and reliability through tests, metrics, debugging, and learning from incidents.
• Contribute to team growth by assisting with resume screening and interviewing new talent.
