Job summary

Regency Specialist Hospital Sdn Bhd in Masai, Johor is seeking a full-time Speech Therapist to evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders. You will develop individualized plans, work with a multidisciplinary team, and educate patients and families on management techniques.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Speech Therapy, MBAHP registration, at least 1 year of healthcare experience, and strong communication and clinical skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Speech Therapy.
• MBAHP registration as a Speech Therapist.
• At least 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong clinical skills in assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in the use of speech therapy equipment and technologies.
• Able to relocate/travel to Masai, Johor.
• Mandarin speaker is preferrable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve communication and swallowing.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure effective patient care.
• Provide education and training to patients, families, and caregivers.
• Maintain detailed patient records and document progress and outcomes.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and stay updated on therapy practices.
• Administer therapy for rehabilitation of patients with communication problems caused by disabilities.
• Use therapies in combination with innovative techniques to provide optimal care.
