Responsibilities

• Assess patients' speech, language, communication, and swallowing conditions to inform treatment planning.
• Implement evidence-based speech therapy interventions to address patients' needs.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to develop comprehensive and individualized treatment plans.
• Provide input on patients' progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
• Design and instruct speech exercises and techniques to improve articulation, fluency, voice, and communication skills.
• Monitor therapy sessions to ensure safety and effectiveness.
• Educate patients and families on speech, language, and swallowing conditions, options, and preventive measures.
• Provide guidance on home exercises and self-care strategies to improve communication and swallowing.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to discuss patient cases and ensure holistic care.
• Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, plans, and progress; ensure compliance with standards.
• Adhere to quality assurance programs and contribute to quality improvement via peer review and case discussions
