Job summary

Regency Specialist Hospital Sdn Bhd in Masai, Johor is seeking a full-time Speech Therapist to evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong clinical skills in assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in the use of speech therapy equipment and technologies.
• Able to relocate/travel to Masai, Johor.
• Mandarin speaker is preferrable.

Responsibilities

About the role

Regency Specialist Hospital Sdn Bhd is seeking a full-time Speech Therapist to join our team in Masai, Johor. As a Speech Therapist, you will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients with various speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders. This is an integral role in our mission to provide high-quality, comprehensive healthcare services to our community.

What you'll be doing

Conducting comprehensive assessments to evaluate and diagnose speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders.

Developing and implementing individualised treatment plans to help patients improve their communication and swallowing abilities.

Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure seamless and effective patient care.

Providing education and training to patients, families, and caregivers on techniques to manage speech, language, and swallowing difficulties.

Maintaining detailed patient records and documentation to track progress and outcomes.

Participating in ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in speech therapy practices.

Administering therapy for rehabilitation of patients with communication problems caused by disabilities.

Using tried and tested therapies in combination with new, innovative techniques to provide the best care.

What we're looking for

A Bachelor's degree in Speech Therapy.

Registration with the Malaysian Board of Allied Health Professions (MBAHP) as a Speech Therapist.

At least 1 year of experience working as a Speech Therapist in a healthcare setting.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team.

Strong clinical skills in assessing, diagnosing, and treating a wide range of speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic healthcare environment.

Proficient in the use of speech therapy equipment and technologies.

Able to relocate/travel to Masai, Johor.

Mandarin speaker is preferrable to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
