Job summary

Air Liquide Malaysia is seeking a Specialty Gas ID Manager to bridge group strategies and local operations. You will drive industrial performance, ensure adherence to group standards for Specialty Gases, and optimize workflows and asset utilization across the cluster.

You will lead end-to-end industrial projects, collaborate with procurement and global teams to streamline landed costs, and deploy mandatory programs with a strong focus on delivery and change management.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical Engineering or relevant discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations or industrial direction, with a specific focus on Specialty Gases within the industrial gas sector.
• In-depth understanding of industrial gas processes, specifically in manufacturing and logistics, utilizing a holistic end-to-end perspective.
• Proficient in navigating modern operating models, utilizing digital tools, and leveraging data for decision-making.
• Knowledge of energy management principles would be an advantage.
• Proven track record in driving transformation programs and effectively managing associated organizational change.
• Robust project management capabilities with a focus on delivery and execution.
• Demonstrated strong leadership skills with the ability to develop, articulate, and present a compelling strategic vision based on end-to-end thinking.
• Strong customer acumen, ensuring industrial strategies align with customer needs and market demands.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Cluster's industrial performance strategy within the PMS governance framework.
• Oversee implementation of corrective actions and mandatory programs across entities.
• Act as technical authority for asset renewal and utilization studies; propose reallocation plans to optimize resources.
• Manage end-to-end selected Cluster industrial projects from selection to subsidiary specification collection.
• Collaborate with procurement and global entities to optimize landed cost and reliability of supply chains.
• Drive deployment of standards and SG programs as the Business Process Owner to ensure compliance.
• Coach and transfer knowledge across entities, engaging expert support for technical standards.
