Job summary

Air Liquide Malaysia is seeking a Specialty Gas Manager to bridge Group strategies with local operations. The role focuses on driving industrial performance, ensuring governance for Specialty Gases, and acting as a Business Process Owner to optimize workflows and asset utilization across the cluster.

Responsibilities include leading strategic planning, project execution, and cross-functional collaboration to improve profitability and ensure compliance with Group policies for assets and processes.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical Engineering or relevant discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations or industrial direction, with a focus on Specialty Gases within the industrial gas sector.
• In-depth understanding of industrial gas processes, specifically in manufacturing and logistics.
• Proficient in navigating modern operating models, utilizing digital tools, and leveraging data for decision‑making.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Cluster Packaged Gas team to drive performance strategy and governance.
• Oversee corrective actions and mandatory programs, ensuring lessons are documented and shared.
• Lead asset renewal and lifetime extension studies; optimize asset utilization.
• Manage end-to-end cluster industrial projects and ensure alignment with business targets.
• Collaborate with procurement and global entities on landed cost allocations and sourcing strategies.
• Supervise core missions and monitor impact on industrial performance.
• Maximize profitability by reviewing entity setups and product portfolios; drive improvements.
• Drive deployment of SG standards and a digital roadmap across the cluster.
