Reporting to Assistant Manager or Manager of R2R Financial Reporting, this position shall be responsible for the financial reporting for local statutory and group regulatory including Financial Statement and audit. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards and policies, and timely resolution of any discrepancies across multiple entities and regions.
Preparation of AIA Group of Companies’ financial statements, management accounts and audit schedules
Support AIA Group of Companies – Local Finance team on relevant matters relating to financial statements including financial audit, by providing timely and satisfactory response on all queries.
Preparation of Letter of Representative, Board paper.
Act as ICFR Champion, preparation of financial statements certification and financial control self-assessment checklist
Act as a key liaison between group finance, business units, and cross function to resolve any issues.
Provide guidance and support to junior team members on complex transactions.
Escalate unresolved issues to Assistant Manager/ Manager as and when needed support.
Maintain proper documentation for all transactions in line with audit requirements and Group accounting standards.
Update Closing/Control Checklist, Training Materials and Business Process Manuals as and when required.
Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.
Ensure ICFR control objective is met.
Involve in UAT as and when required.
Perform other month end closing activities and ad hoc requests as and when required.
Support on other projects and matters as and when required.
Completed University Degree in accountancy or Accounting Professional Qualification (ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, CIMA, MICPA)
Currently pursuing Internationally Recognized Accounting Qualification (ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, CIMA, MICPA)
Minimum 3-5 years and above of relevant experience in financial and accounting related fields, and/or accounting and auditing experiences in a big-size accounting firm
Experience in a shared services or similar environment providing general accounting, reporting and analysis services to external/internal stakeholders will be an added advantage
