Job summary

AIA in Malaysia is seeking a financial reporting specialist to deliver group and local management reports, ensuring timeliness, accuracy and adherence to Group procedures. You will consolidate data from multiple units and perform analytical reviews to support management decisions.

This role requires 4–6 years in a multinational setting, experience with management reporting and financial analysis, and familiarity with ERP / BI tools. ACCA or equivalent qualifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree in accounting with professional qualification (ACCA or equivalent).
• 4–6 years of multinational experience with regional exposure.
• Experience in management and financial reporting and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Provide support of Group and local management reporting including reporting and analysis.
• Ensure reports conform to requirements and are completed timely and accurately.
• Consolidate Group management reports daily, monthly or quarterly with analysis.
• Ensure data from local units complies with Group standards for financial and management reporting.
• Support stakeholders with timely responses to queries for informed decisions.
• Assist in developing, designing and implementing new processes and controls.
• Update Business Process Manuals, Control Checklists and Training Materials annually.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor to meet reporting needs.

About the Role

Provide support of the Group and local management reporting including reporting and analysis. Ensure the Group and local management reporting procedures conform to the requirements as well as completed timely, accurately and effectively.

Job Description:

• Responsible to ensure all required management reporting and analysis are provided to Group Office and local business units timely, accurately and in accordance with the Group's reporting procedures


• Support local business units in the management reporting process and perform timely analytical review on the management reports submitted by business units.


• Support the consolidation of Group management reports on daily, monthly or quarterly basis in timely manner with analysis on Group results.


• Ensure information received from the local business units complies with Group standards for both financial and management reporting.


• Support Group Office and local business units on relevant management reporting and analysis matters by providing timely and satisfactory response on all queries to enable business decisions


• Support the development, design, and implementation of new processes, controls and functionally changes to existing systems to improve current processes, controls and overall effectiveness of the team


• Responsible to update Business Process Manuals, Control Checklist and Training Materials as and when new enhancement identified, implemented and communicated, and at least on an annual basis


• Performs other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by supervisor in order to meet management reporting and/or other requirements.

Job Requirements:

• Degree holder in Accountancy with professional qualification in ACCA or equivalent


• Minimum 4 to 6 years of relevant work experience gained within a multinational environment with regional exposure


• Experience with management and financial reports and analysis


• Experience in a shared services or similar environment providing reporting and analysis services to external/internal stakeholders preferred


• Knowledge of systems e.g. Microsoft Azure/ Power Apps/ Power Bl/ SAP/ BPC preferred
