Job summary

Vistra is seeking a Specialist – Payroll in Malaysia to join a growing Payroll team. This full-time, permanent role reports to the Senior Manager and covers regional payroll operations from our Malaysia office with a hybrid working model.

You will handle payroll data entry, processing, and reconciliation while ensuring compliance with local statutory reporting and year-end tasks. The ideal candidate has strong English communication skills and can work independently within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and analytical abilities are required.
• Fluent English (spoken and written) is essential.
• Experience with payroll processes is a plus.
• Familiarity with statutory forms and Companies Acts is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Input data into payroll system and maintain staff and payroll information.
• Provide full payroll processing including calculation, execution, and reconciliation.
• Monitor and execute payroll activities according to schedule.
• Manage workflow to ensure accurate payroll transactions and timely disbursement.
• Ensure compliance with local regulatory reporting requirements.
• Ensure timely submission of statutory remittance.
• Process accurate year-end reporting.

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as Specialist – Payroll. Reporting to the Senior Manager, this full-time and permanent position is based in Malaysia and offers regional coverage, allowing you to make a significant impact to our Payroll department and its’ growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for input data into payroll system and maintenance of clients’ staff and payroll information
• Provide full spectrum of payroll processing and associated activities including payroll calculation, execution (salaries, leave and other compensation calculations) and reconciliation
• Monitor and execute payroll activities according to payroll processing schedule
• Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and disbursed to client’s employee in a timely manner
• Ensure compliance with the local regulatory reporting requirements and guidelines
• Ensure timely submission statutory remittance
• Process accurate and timely year-end reporting.

• Must possess good communications skills, analytical and problem solving skills.
• Good command of both spoken and written English.
• Able to work independently and be a good team player.
• Good interpersonal skills and able to work as a team.
• Able to work under pressure and meet submission deadlines with minimal advice.
• Able to identify and demonstrate clear comprehension of customers and organizational needs.

• Fresh graduate or with 1 years relevant working experience
• Familiar with filing of statutory forms and Companies Acts is preferred
• Professional Certificate, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Professional Degree in Human Resource Management, Finance/Accountancy/Banking, Business Studies/Administration/Management, or equivalent.
