Job summary

Vistra in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia invites applications for a Payroll Associate. This full-time, permanent role reports to the Manager and is based in Kuala Lumpur with regional coverage. You will handle clients' payroll processing, maintain employee records, and ensure timely payroll remittances and reporting.

The ideal candidate has a diploma or degree in a related field, 1 year payroll experience or fresh graduate, and strong English communication along with proficient MS Office/Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Fresh graduate or candidate with at least 1 year of payroll experience.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office and Excel.
• Ability to work independently.
• Attention to details.
• Good time management and is a deadline-driven person.

Responsibilities

• Process clients' payroll processing and accounts.
• Compute wages, bonuses, allowances, claims and overtime; record payroll deductions; handle advanced payments; process new hires and terminations.
• Update and maintain clients' employees' records in the system (salary, positions, transfers, promotions, personal details).
• Timely review and sign off on payroll reconciliations.
• Monthly reporting and cash flow on billings and collections.
• Ensure timely submissions and cash flow on billings and collections.
• Ensure timely submission and distribution of payroll and statutory remittance (EPF, SOCSO and Income Tax).
• Ensure payroll reports are accurate and distributed to clients on time; ensure compliance with regulatory reporting guidelines.
• Maintain an orderly database and filing system; ensure documents and reports are filed timely.

Key responsibilities:

• Responsible to clients' payroll processing and account
• Perform a variety of payroll processing activities including computing wages, bonus, allowances, claims and overtime payments; calculating and recording payroll deductions; processing advanced payments; and processing new hires and terminations
• Update and maintain clients' employees' records in the system e.g. basic salary, positions, transfers, promotions and personal details
• Timely review and sign off on all required payroll and state tax reconciliations
• Monthly reporting and cash flow on billings and collections
• Ensure timely submission and cash flow on billings and collection
• Ensure timely submission and distribution of payroll and statutory remittance e.g. EPF, SOCSO and Income Tax
• Ensure payroll reports are accurate and disbursed to clients in a timely mannerEnsure compliance with the federal, state and local regulatory reporting requirements and guidelines
• Maintain an orderly database and filing system
• Ensure documents and reports are filled in an orderly and timely manner
• Maintain a high level of checking and reporting back and initiate action where necessary.
