Job summary

Vistra in Iskandar Puteri, Johor, is seeking a Specialist, Payroll to join the regional payroll team and support data input, processing, reconciliation and reporting.

You will ensure timely payroll runs, compliance with statutory remittances, and year-end reporting while collaborating with the broader payroll function.

Qualifications

• Familiar with statutory requirements and reporting in Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Input payroll data and maintain staff records.
• Perform full payroll processing including salary, leave and other components.
• Monitor payroll processing schedule and ensure timely disbursement.
• Ensure statutory remittance and year-end reporting accuracy.
• Comply with local regulations and client requirements.

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as Specialist, Payroll, based in Iskandar Puteri, Johor. Reporting to the Manager, Payroll, this full-time and permanent position is based in Malaysia and offers regional coverage, allowing you to make a significant impact to our Payroll department and its’ growth.

Key responsibilities:

• Responsible for input data into payroll system and maintenance of clients’ staff and payroll information
• Provide full spectrum of payroll processing and associated activities including payroll calculation, execution (salaries, leave and other compensation calculations) and reconciliation
• Monitor and execute payroll activities according to payroll processing schedule
• Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and disbursed to client’s employee in a timely manner
• Ensure compliance with the local regulatory reporting requirements and guidelines
• Ensure timely submission statutory remittance
• Process accurate and timely year-end reporting.

Key Requirements:

• Must possess good communications skills, analytical and problem solving skills.
• Familiar with UK/SG/HK payroll process.
• Good command of both spoken and written English.
• Computer literate MS Office
• Able to work independently and be a good team player.
• Good interpersonal skills and able to work as a team.
• Able to work under pressure and meet submission deadlines with minimal advice.
• Able to identify and demonstrate clear comprehension of customers and organizational needs.
• Punctuality
• Confident in facing challenges
• 1 to 2 years relevant working experience
• Familiar with filing of statutory forms and Companies Acts is preferred
• Professional Certificate, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Professional Degree in Human Resource Management, Finance/Accountancy/Banking, Business Studies/Administration/Management, or equivalent.
