Job summary

Hilton Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia is seeking a Spa & Gym Receptionist responsible for welcoming guests, managing check-in/out, and guiding members through terms, facilities, and memberships. The role includes upselling spa services and maintaining a clean, efficient front desk environment.

You will handle inquiries, resolve issues with professionalism, and support opening/closing routines while upholding Hilton service standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Able to speak English in order to communicate efficiently with guests.
• Able to speak other languages would be an advantage.
• Good interpersonal skills to provide overall guest satisfaction.
• Able to stand, walk and / or sit and continuously perform essential job functions.
• Able to operate gym equipment and swim.
• Able to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations during busy periods.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests and members with a warm, friendly, and sincere smile, promptly attending to their needs.
• Manage the reception area, including guest and member check-in and check-out, membership verification, and registration procedures.
• Ensure guests and members understand the applicable terms and conditions, facilities, services, and membership benefits.
• Provide accurate information on Spa and Health Club facilities, treatments, products, services, promotions, and membership programmes.
• Recommend suitable and popular spa treatments, products, and membership options, and actively identify upselling opportunities where appropriate.
• Handle guest enquiries, requests, feedback, and complaints professionally, escalating issues to the Supervisor / Manager when necessary.
• Maintain effective communication with guests, members, colleagues, and other departments to ensure a smooth operation.
• Ensure the daily opening and closing procedures of the Spa and Health Club are carried out efficiently.
• Read, update, and communicate information in the receptionist's message book to ensure proper handover between shifts.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area at all times.
• Adhere to Hilton service standards and quality requirements to consistently deliver a professional and memorable guest experience.
• Demonstrate a positive, proactive, and responsible approach to work, including taking initiative to resolve issues and continuously develop new skills.
• Remain flexible and responsive to changing operational requirements.
• Ensure all procedures relating to guest and member information, payments, and access are followed accurately and confidentially.
• Carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Management.
