HAIWU Technology Co., Ltd. is seeking a hands-on Service Engineer to support Southeast Asia operations from Kuala Lumpur.

You will install, commission, maintain and troubleshoot precision cooling systems in data centres, ensuring reliable performance and high customer satisfaction. The role requires travel across Malaysia and Southeast Asia, with base in Kuala Lumpur, and involves working with customers, service partners and internal teams to deliver effective service, timely reports and ongoing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Mechanical/Electrical/HVAC/Refrigeration).
• Experience with HVAC systems, precision air conditioning, data centre cooling or industrial cooling is a plus.
• Hands-on installation, commissioning, preventive and corrective maintenance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide installation guidance, commissioning and maintenance for data centre cooling systems in Southeast Asia.
• Respond to service requests, diagnose issues on-site and carry out repairs to minimise downtime.
• Monitor equipment performance and ensure safe, efficient operation of cooling systems.

Job description

We are looking for a hands‑on and customer‑oriented Service Engineer to support our growing operations across Southeast Asia. You will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance and troubleshooting of precision cooling systems in data centres, ensuring reliable equipment performance and customer satisfaction. This role will support customers across Malaysia and other Southeast Asian countries.

Key Responsibilities

Provide installation guidance, commissioning, routine maintenance and troubleshooting support for data centre cooling systems across Southeast Asia, with Kuala Lumpur as the regional base.

Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans for various cooling equipment, including room‑level precision air conditioners, in‑row cooling units and rack‑level cooling systems, based on customer requirements.

Respond promptly to customer service requests and equipment breakdowns, conduct on‑site inspections, diagnose technical issues and carry out necessary repairs to minimise equipment downtime.

Monitor equipment performance and ensure the stable, safe and efficient operation of data centre cooling systems.

Maintain good working relationships with customers, service partners and internal teams to ensure effective service delivery.

Provide timely service reports, technical feedback and updates on equipment conditions, customer requirements and market developments.

Support the regional service team in achieving service quality standards and operational targets.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, HVAC, Refrigeration or a related technical field.

Relevant experience in HVAC systems, precision air conditioning, data centre cooling or industrial cooling systems is an advantage.

Basic knowledge of electrical systems, refrigeration cycles, HVAC controls and equipment troubleshooting.

Hands‑on experience in equipment installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance is preferred.

Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to work independently and handle technical issues on‑site.

Good communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with customers, service providers and internal teams.

Willingness to travel frequently across Malaysia and Southeast Asia for customer site visits and service assignments.

Proficiency in English and Mandarin is preferred to communicate effectively with Mandarin‑speaking customers and technical teams.

Proactive, responsible and customer‑focused, with a strong willingness to learn.
