Job summary

Unigen Technology Sdn Bhd is seeking a Sourcing & Purchasing Officer/Senior Officer to manage purchasing activities for the Malaysia plant and related entities using Oracle systems.

Responsibilities include PO placement, supplier coordination, inventory management, PPV control, and maintaining on-time deliveries. You will negotiate terms, review inventories, and generate purchasing reports for management. A bachelor degree with 3–5 years' experience and ERP proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
• 3–5 years' experience in purchasing (or import-export).
• Experience in PPV (Purchase Price Variance).
• Solid experience in E&E, EMS or OEM, semiconductor or electronic components.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Knowledge of raw materials, suppliers, production processes, quality control and costing.
• Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips and computer hardware/software.
• Proficient with ERP and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Manage PO placement and coordinate with suppliers to arrange material on time.
• Check demand to buy, optimize MOQs to avoid excess stock.
• Follow up deliveries to align with production plans.
• Handle supplier issues: cancellations, pull in/push out/on hold/RMA.
• Purchase components and sub-materials using Oracle systems.
• Control PO issuance and prepare P.O./P.R. and related documents for manager approval.
• Review inventories and place orders as required.
• Interact with suppliers on a day-to-day basis.
• Negotiate terms including price, delivery date, payment terms, and specifications.
• Input material data to warehouse and generate purchasing reports.

Job description

Sourcing & Purchasing Officer/Senior Officer

Managing purchasing activities for Malaysia plant and other entities, including PO placement, supplier coordination, and inventory management using Oracle systems.

Key responsibilities

Manage PO placement and work with suppliers to arrange material on time, checking demand to buy cut tape and smaller MOQ to avoid excess stock

Follow up delivery with suppliers to ensure production plan

Work with suppliers on arising issues: cancellation, pull in, push out, on hold, RMA

Purchase components, sub-material, and other items using Oracle systems

Control PO issue; prepare P.O/P.R and other related documents to submit for manager approval

Review inventories and order as required

Interact with suppliers on a day-to-day basis

Control quality, cost and delivery; ensure material and goods are supplied to other departments on time with best quality and best price

Negotiate with suppliers to fix purchasing conditions including contract, price, delivery date, payment terms, tax issues, and material specifications

Input material to warehouse and create purchasing reports

About you

Bachelor degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent in relevant field

At least 3–5 years' experience in purchasing job or import-export field

At least 3–5 years' experience in managing PPV (Purchase Price Variance)

Solid experience in E&E, EMS or OEM, Semiconductor, electronic components, Engineering manufacturing industry

Excellent negotiation and communication skills

High interpersonal skills and willing to take challenges

Knowledge of raw materials, suppliers, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing effective manufacture and distribution of goods

Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software

Use Microsoft software package competently (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Knowledge of ERP; Oracle / SAP / Microsoft Navision / Others (>5 years' experience)
