You will identify local and overseas suppliers, establish multi-tier sourcing for critical commodities, and lead supplier selection while driving cost competitiveness. The role requires strong negotiation, analytical thinking, and knowledge of procurement processes.

Responsibilities

• Establish sourcing strategies for critical, high-value, single source and high risk commodities.
• Conduct market and supplier analysis to identify cost saving and supply chain opportunities.
• Develop alternative, dual-sourcing, to mitigate the supply chain risk.
• Lead supplier identification, evaluation, qualification and selection.
• Assess suppliers based on cost, quality, capacity, lead time, technology, delivery capability, financial stability and compliance.
• Lead commercial discussion such as price & cost structure, payment term, lead time, incoterms.
• Drive cost competitiveness without compromising quality and supply continuity.
• Maintain professional and strategic relationships with key suppliers.
