Job summary

FLEX PRECISION MANUFACTURING (MALAYSIA) SDN.BHD. is seeking a Procurement professional to develop supplier resources, negotiate costs, and manage procurement plans aligned with production schedules.

The role requires 3+ years in procurement or SCM, strong English and Malay, plus experience with SAP/Oracle and MS Office. You will coordinate cross-functionally to ensure a smooth supply chain and compliance with standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma or above in Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related fields.
• Proficient in procurement processes and supply chain management.
• Strong negotiation and cost analysis skills.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple procurement projects simultaneously.
• Proficient in using ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and office software (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Develop, evaluate, and maintain supplier resources to meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements.

• Manage inventory levels to avoid overstocking or shortages.
• Identify risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies.
• Ensure supplier compliance with environmental, labor, and safety standards.
• Collaborate with engineering for procurement-related technical support.
• Participate in new product development with procurement input.

Analyze market trends and price fluctuations to develop cost optimization strategies.

Negotiate prices with suppliers to ensure procurement costs remain within budget.

Reduce procurement costs through value engineering and alternative solutions.

4. Supply Chain Optimization:

Optimize procurement processes to improve efficiency.

Coordinate communication between internal departments (e.g., production, quality, logistics) and suppliers to ensure a smooth supply chain.

Manage inventory levels to avoid overstocking or shortages

Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies.

Ensure supplier compliance with environmental, labor, and safety standards.

6. Technical Support:

Collaborate with the engineering team to understand technical requirements and provide procurement support.

Participate in new product development processes and provide technical advice related to procurement.

1. Education: Diploma or above in Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related fields.

2. Skills :

Proficient in procurement processes and supply chain management.

Strong negotiation and cost analysis skills.

Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple procurement projects simultaneously.

Proficient in using ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and office software (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

3. Experience:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in the precision manufacturing industry.

Familiarity with machining, metalworking, CNC machining, or related fields is a plus.

4. Language:

Fluent in English and Malay, with the ability to communicate effectively with local and international suppliers

Proficiency in Mandarin is an added advantage.

5. Others:

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively.
