Job summary

MB Automation (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd focuses on engineering and technology R&D with a strong emphasis on semiconductor applications. The role involves conferring with suppliers to obtain prices and product details, negotiating terms, and sourcing new parts to ensure optimal procurement for both direct and indirect materials.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Business Studies, Administration, Management, Supply Chain, or equivalent.
• Proven experience in direct and indirect sourcing with end-to-end procurement knowledge.
• Experience in sourcing electrical/electronic components is an added advantage.

• Conferring with suppliers to obtain prices, specifications, and product details.
• Negotiating prices, contracts, and delivery terms to achieve optimal procurement outcomes.
• Sourcing and Evaluating potential suppliers for direct and indirect materials/services.
• Maintaining complete and updated purchasing records, supplier data, and pricing in SAP system.
• Coordinating with user departments and suppliers for project-related purchasing scope.
• Supporting relevant departments with quotations for tenders and proposals.
• Coordinating with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.
• Issuing purchase orders in accordance with technical specifications and requirements.
• Identifying and sourcing new parts, suppliers, or subcontractors when required.

What We're Looking For

Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Business Studies, Administration, Management, Supply Chain, or equivalent.

Proven experience in direct and indirect sourcing, with strong knowledge of end-to-end procurement processes.

Experience in sourcing electrical/electronic components or suppliers is an added advantage.

Strong negotiation skills and ability to build long-term supplier relationships.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
