Job summary

MVC Resources is seeking an experienced Sourcing Specialist to support electronics manufacturing procurement in Malaysia. You will lead supplier onboarding, RFQ processes, cost benchmarking, and contract negotiations to ensure cost efficiency and supply continuity.

Collaborating with engineering, operations and planning teams, you will drive cost reduction programs, manage supplier performance, and maintain procurement documentation in compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, engineering, or related field.
• 5–8 years in OEM sourcing, category management, or strategic procurement.
• Proven supplier management, cost negotiation, and contract management experience.
• Experience in electronics, semiconductor, or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.

Job description

• Support and manage sourcing activities for assigned commodities and categories
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies to ensure cost efficiency, quality, and supply continuity
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers in line with business and project requirements
• Lead RFQ processes, cost analysis, and price benchmarking to achieve competitive advantage
• Conduct supplier negotiations, including pricing, terms, and contract agreements
• Manage supplier performance, delivery, and quality to meet operational expectations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, operations, planning) to support NPI and production needs
• Drive cost reduction initiatives and continuous improvement programs
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and maintain proper documentation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field
• 5–8 years of experience in OEM sourcing, commodity/category management, or strategic procurement
• Proven track record in supplier management, cost negotiation, and contract management
• Experience working within electronics, semiconductor, or manufacturing environment is preferred
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
• Good stakeholder management and communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems
