Job summary

Randstad Malaysia invites a seasoned procurement leader to join a dynamic team in Malaysia, overseeing regional supplier partnerships and executing strategic sourcing plans for electro-mechanical and chiller commodities.

You will formulate category strategies, negotiate favorable terms, develop sourcing roadmaps, manage risk, and mentor a team of procurement professionals to drive cost efficiencies and supply continuity.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering, supply chain, or business.
• Extensive experience in strategic procurement and supplier management.
• Experience negotiating customized supplier contracts.
• Experience sourcing electro-mechanical and high-power components.
• Mandarin proficiency to collaborate with regional stakeholders.
• Familiarity with ERP and BI tools.

Joining a dynamic procurement division, you will manage regional supplier partnerships and execute strategic sourcing plans for core electro-mechanical and chiller commodities.

• Formulate and implement comprehensive category strategies for OEM vendors to achieve cost efficiencies, safeguard supply continuity, and maintain top-tier quality standards in line with organizational goals.
• Lead commercial discussions to secure competitive pricing structures and negotiate customized agreements with manufacturing suppliers.
• Develop and execute targeted sourcing roadmaps for key equipment parts and components.
• Manage short-term and mid-term risk mitigation plans to ensure business continuity across vital equipment categories.
• Guide and mentor a dedicated team of procurement professionals to cultivate a high-performance culture

• Possess a tertiary qualification in engineering, supply chain management, or a business-related discipline.
• Significant experience in strategic procurement, supplier management, and custom contract negotiations within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven capability in sourcing electro-mechanical components, high-power components, and customized mechanical standard parts.
• Proficiency in the Mandaarin is essential to effectively collaborate with regional stakeholders.
• Familiarity with enterprise resource planning systems and business intelligence tools.
