Job summary

Randstad Malaysia is seeking an experienced sourcing professional to lead strategic procurement activities for metal, plastic, and electronic components. You will drive cost savings, improve quality, and ensure supply continuity by developing robust commodity strategies and engaging with regional APAC/global stakeholders.

The role requires 6–12 years in strategic sourcing, strong negotiation and supplier management skills, and deep knowledge of relevant components.

Qualifications

• 6-12 years of experience in strategic sourcing or commodity management.
• Strong negotiation, supplier management, and analytical skills.
• Strong technical knowledge in metal fabrication, plastic injection, or electronic components.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute commodity strategies to drive cost savings, quality improvement, and supply continuity.
• Conduct market analysis, supplier benchmarking, and risk assessments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, operations, quality) to align sourcing strategy with business needs.
• Negotiate contracts, terms, and long-term agreements.
• Monitor and improve supplier performance (QCDS - Quality, Cost, Delivery, Sustainability).
• Drive localization projects and cost reduction initiatives.
