Job summary

Sanctuary Health Sdn Bhd is seeking a detail-oriented Sourcing and Purchasing Executive to strengthen our procurement function in Perak. You will balance cost efficiency with supplier quality while contributing strategic input to day-to-day purchasing decisions.

Responsibilities include supplier negotiations, cost-reduction strategies, and ensuring SOP compliance. The role requires collaboration with internal teams and timely material flow through production.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years hands-on experience in sourcing, purchasing, or procurement.
• Mandarin proficiency advantageous for China-based suppliers.
• Familiarity with procurement software and ERP systems.
• Able to assess costs and compare supplier proposals with data-driven decisions.
• Strong written and verbal communication for negotiations.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a detail-oriented Sourcing & Purchasing Executive to strengthen our procurement function - someone who can balance cost efficiency with supplier quality, and bring strategic thinking to day-to-day purchasing decisions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Sourcing & Supplier Management - Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers on price, quality, and reliability. Constantly strive for the best purchase terms while maintaining the highest levels of service and product integrity.
• Cost Reduction & Strategy - Advise and propose cost-saving solutions and plans across procurement activities. Implement new sourcing strategies that deliver long-term, sustainable value.
• Policy & SOP Compliance - Ensure all procurement activities are conducted in accordance with company purchasing policies and standard operating procedures.
• Materials & Production Scheduling - Plan, schedule, and monitor the movement of materials through the production cycle to support smooth operations.
• Supplier & Stakeholder Liaison - Interface with suppliers and internal customers to secure on-time delivery and competitive market pricing.
• Purchasing Execution - Support and execute purchasing activities to ensure all requirements are processed promptly and accurately.
• Artwork Review & Documentation - Review new or revised product artwork, and maintain proper document control and filing systems.

REQUIREMENTS

• Education: Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in sourcing, purchasing, or procurement - preferably in a manufacturing or healthcare environment.
• Language: Proficiency in Mandarin is highly advantageous for direct communication with China-based suppliers.
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with procurement software and ERP systems; solid understanding of supply chain principles and vendor evaluation.
• Analytical Ability: Able to assess costs, compare supplier proposals, and make data-informed purchasing decisions.
• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for negotiations and cross-functional coordination.
• Interpersonal: A collaborative team player who also works well independently, with good time management and organisational skills.
• Mindset: Creative problem-solver with a proactive approach to identifying cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
