Job summary

Northern Solar Sdn Bhd is seeking a Site Supervisor to oversee construction sites for solar projects in Malaysia. You will lead the construction team and subcontractors, ensuring progress aligns with design, safety, and budget requirements.

You will educate workers on safety regulations, enforce safety rules, and coordinate with the Project Engineers. Heavy travel and own transport are required for this role.

Qualifications

• Must have strong time management and planning abilities.
• Proven supervision experience on construction sites.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and accident protocols.

Responsibilities

• Inspect construction sites regularly to ensure projects progress.
• Supervise and instruct construction teams and subcontractors.
• Monitor site progress and report to Project Engineers promptly.
• Educate site workers on safety regulations and accident protocols.
• Enforce site safety rules to minimize accidents and injuries.
• Collaborate with Site Safety Supervisor to handle site accidents.
• Analyse blueprints to ensure design, safety, and budget compliance.
• Suggest process improvements to increase efficiency.
• Perform any ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Job description

Inspect construction sites regularly to ensure the projects progress

Supervising and instructing the construction team as well as subcontractors

Monitor site progress and update promptly to Project Engineers

Educating site workers on construction safety regulations and accident protocol

Enforcing site safety rules to minimize work-related accidents and injuries

Work with Site Safety Supervisor to handle site accidents in accordance with established accident protocol

Analysing blueprints to ensure that construction projects meet design, safety, and budget specifications

Recommending changes to construction operations or procedures to increase efficiency

Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned

Job Requirements

• At least SPM or Diploma in Electrical & Electronic Engineering or equivalent
• At least 2 years of relevant working experience
• Certified Chargeman/Wireman will be a plus point
• Experience in Solar Energy Industry will be added advantage
• Good Time Management & Planning
• Possess own transport & willing to heavy traveling
