Job summary

Solarvest Holdings Bhd. is seeking a Site Supervisor to oversee rooftop solar installations in Malaysia.

You will supervise daily activities, ensure conformity with drawings and safety protocols, and coordinate with engineers, contractors, and clients to keep projects on track. The role requires a Diploma in Electrical Engineering, a CIDB Green Card and Working at Height cert, and at least two years of site supervision experience in solar or construction.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• CIDB Green Card holder and Working at Height certificate before mobilization.
• Minimum 2 years of site supervision experience in rooftop solar, electrical installation, or construction.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Experience in managing subcontractors and small work teams.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor daily site activities to ensure work aligns with drawings, method statements, and safety procedures.
• Coordinate with project engineers, contractors, and clients to plan daily work and resolve issues.
• Conduct site surveys, pre-work briefings, toolbox talks, and ensure compliance with MOS, HIRARC, PTW, and other safety documentation.
• Verify site readiness, materials availability, and manpower allocation.
• Monitor workmanship quality and ensure timely completion within schedule and budget.
• Record daily site activities, including progress, attendance, materials, and equipment usage.
• Inspect tools and equipment for proper use and condition.
• Support site testing, commissioning, and final inspections with client representatives.
• Report incidents and near misses promptly and support corrective actions.
• Manage demobilization and site handover after project completion.

Job description

• Supervise and monitor daily site activities to ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings, method statements, and safety procedures.
• Coordinate with project engineers, contractors, and clients to plan daily work, manage progress, and resolve site issues promptly.
• Conduct site survey, pre-work briefings, toolbox meetings, and ensure all workers comply with HIRARC, MOS, PTW, and other safety documentation requirements.
• Verify site readiness, materials availability, and manpower allocation before commencement of work.
• Monitor workmanship quality and ensure timely completion of tasks within schedule and budget.
• Record daily site activities, including work progress, manpower attendance, material usage, and equipment deployment.
• Inspect and ensure that all tools and equipment are in good working condition and properly used.
• Support site testing, commissioning, and final inspection with client representatives.
• Report site issues, incidents, or near misses immediately and support corrective actions.
• Manage demobilization and site handover after project completion.

Requirements

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent field.
• Possession of Chargeman AO/A1/A4 or Wireman PW4 (if applicable) is an added advantage.
• CIDB Green Card holder and valid Working at Height certificate are required before mobilization.
• Minimum 2 years of site supervision experience in rooftop solar, electrical installation, or construction projects.
• Knowledge of site safety, quality, and documentation practices (MOS, HIRARC, PTW, QA/QC).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Experience in managing subcontractors and small work teams effectively.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) for reporting purposes.
• Responsible, proactive, and safety-conscious.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Flexible and adaptable to dynamic project schedules.
• Possess own transport and willing to travel or stay at project site as required.
