Job summary

Pathgreen Energy Sdn Bhd is seeking a Project Engineer - Solar PV to join our growing team in Kuantan, Pahang. You will oversee site surveys, assist design and planning, and coordinate daily solar PV installation activities across Malaysia.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of solar PV experience, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and familiarity with AutoCAD, PVsyst and HelioScope. Willingness to travel and valid driving licence are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Renewable Energy Engineering or related field.
• 1–3 years of relevant solar PV experience; fresh graduates with internship are encouraged.
• Familiar with AutoCAD, PVsyst, HelioScope and Microsoft Office.
• Strong understanding of solar PV systems and installation practices.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and coordinate solar PV site surveys and assessments.
• Support solar PV system design, planning, and energy production analysis.
• Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily installation activities.
• Monitor progress, schedules, manpower, materials and resources.
• Ensure works comply with drawings, specs, quality and safety standards.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, clients and internal teams.
• Provide technical support during installation, testing, commissioning and troubleshooting.
• Inspect sites for technical, construction and quality issues.
• Investigate problems and recommend corrective actions.
• Assist with testing, commissioning, monitoring and handover.

Job description

You will be involved in the end-to-end execution of solar PV projects, from site survey, planning and installation to testing, commissioning and project handover. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys hands-on project work, site coordination, technical problem-solving, and working in the renewable energy industry.

Key responsibilities

Conduct and coordinate solar PV site surveys and assessments.

Support solar PV system design, technical planning, and energy production analysis.

Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily solar PV installation activities.

Monitor project progress, schedules, manpower, materials, equipment, and resources.

Ensure installation works comply with approved drawings, specifications, quality, and safety standards.

Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, clients, and internal teams.

Provide technical support during installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting.

Conduct site inspections and identify technical, construction, and quality issues.

Investigate technical problems and recommend appropriate corrective actions.

Assist with solar PV testing, commissioning, performance monitoring, and handover.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Renewable Energy Engineering, or a related engineering field.

1-3 years of relevant experience in solar PV, electrical engineering, project engineering, construction, or renewable energy.

Fresh graduates with relevant solar PV internship or project experience are encouraged to apply.

Familiar with AutoCAD, PVsyst, HelioScope, and Microsoft Office.

Good understanding of solar PV systems and installation practices.

Strong project coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Able to work independently and coordinate effectively with contractors and project teams.

Willing to travel to project sites across Malaysia.

Possess a valid driving licence and own transportation.
