Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Good communication skills in English, Bahasa, and Mandarin proficiency is an added advantage.
• Working knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulations relevant to solar PV and GCPV systems.
• Experience preparing electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, cable schedules, equipment details, and design calculations.
• Proficiency in the CAD, engineering-design, and PV-modelling tools required for the role.
• Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, communication, coordination, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete electrical drawings for residential, industrial-, and commercial-scale solar projects.
• Develop electrical single-line diagrams, panel-system designs, cable schedules, and equipment detail sheets for DC and AC systems.
• Participate in project progress meetings and technical discussions; carry out PVsyst analysis, design calculations, and power-output assessments.
• Conduct site surveys, site coordination, monitor installation works, prepare BOM, material packing, and maintain monthly stock records.
• Perform testing and commissioning, configure the inverter for start up and handover to customer.
• Coordinate with SEB; follow up on authority and client approvals and relevant stakeholders.
• Provide progress updates to senior engineers and project managers; manage documentation and assigned design works.

We are looking for a Solar Electrical Engineer to join our team in Sarawak. In this role, you will contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of solar photovoltaic (PV) and grid-connected photovoltaic (GCPV) systems across commercial, industrial, and utility-scale projects. You will prepare high-quality electrical design deliverables, support site feasibility and surveying activities, coordinate with project stakeholders, and assist with authority and client approvals. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
