RUNJIAN (M) SDN. BHD. is seeking an electrical engineering professional to lead on-site delivery and commissioning of solar PV projects in Malaysia. The role involves site supervision, testing, troubleshooting, and cross‑functional coordination with customers, suppliers, and authorities.
The ideal candidate has 3+ years in renewable energy or power engineering, strong electrical fundamentals, and the ability to travel to project sites. Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and English is required.

Site Implementation & Project Delivery: Support the on-site implementation and delivery of solar PV projects in Malaysia, including commercial & industrial (C&I) systems and ground-mounted solar farms. Guide equipment installation, commissioning, performance testing, troubleshooting, and project handover to ensure compliance with technical and safety requirements.
Local Compliance & Grid Connection: Ensure project activities comply with Malaysian electrical, construction, environmental, and occupational safety requirements. Support grid connection, TNB coordination, government submissions, inspections, approvals, and acceptance procedures.
Local Communication & Coordination: Act as the key technical contact for local customers, contractors, equipment suppliers, government authorities, and other project stakeholders. Coordinate technical issues, site activities, and project progress, and resolve on-site issues in a timely manner.
O&M & Troubleshooting: Support post-delivery operation and maintenance, including routine inspections, equipment maintenance, system monitoring, and fault diagnosis. Maintain operating records, analyze system performance data, and provide timely site updates and technical feedback to the project manager and China headquarters.
Documentation & Technical Training: Support the preparation, localization, translation, and filing of technical documents, equipment manuals, commissioning records, and project documentation. Provide basic operational and technical training to local customers and junior O&M personnel when required.
Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Energy & Power Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or other related fields.
3+ years of experience in on-site delivery, commissioning, or operation & maintenance in the renewable energy or power engineering industry, with a good understanding of local PV market standards and construction processes in Malaysia.
Native or fluent in Bahasa Malaysia, with excellent spoken and written English for business and technical communication as a working language. Basic Chinese communication skills are preferred.
Strong understanding of electrical system principles, with solid hands‑on skills in on‑site troubleshooting and problem‑solving. Relevant Malaysian electrical competency certifications, safety certifications, or PMP certification are preferred.
Responsible, practical, and able to travel to or be stationed at project sites in Malaysia. Strong ability to work under pressure and collaborate effectively in a cross‑cultural team.
Familiarity with Malaysian PV policies, electricity market regulations, or energy storage project processes.
Experience working for local energy companies, multinational companies, or Chinese companies operating in Malaysia.
Malaysian Class D driving licence and own vehicle.
