Job summary

Solartech is seeking an experienced Senior Solar PV Project & Design Engineer (EPCC) to lead delivery from concept and design through procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover. The role requires hands-on experience in C&I and utility-scale PV projects, with strong skills in PV system design and project management.

You will use PVsyst, Helioscope, AutoCAD, and SketchUp to optimize designs, manage schedules and budgets, and coordinate permits and interconnection.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical/renewable energy engineering.
• 5+ years in solar PV engineering, design and EPCC execution.
• PE certification and PV-related certifications are a plus.

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Solar PV Project & Design Engineer (EPCC) to lead the successful delivery of Solar PV projects from concept and design through procurement, construction, commissioning, and final handover. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in Solar PV system design, project management capabilities, and hands‑on experience in executing Commercial & Industrial (C&I) and Utility-Scale Solar PV projects.

Key responsibilities

Lead Solar PV projects from design through commissioning and final handover.

Manage project schedules, budgets, contractors, suppliers, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, system sizing, and performance analysis for C&I and utility‑scale Solar PV projects.

Develop and review PV system designs, engineering calculations, technical specifications, and project documentation.

Utilize industry‑standard software such as PVsyst, Helioscope, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and other engineering tools for design and performance optimization.

Support procurement activities including technical evaluations, vendor assessments, and equipment selection.

Coordinate permitting, utility interconnection, and regulatory compliance requirements.

Oversee installation activities and ensure compliance with engineering, quality, safety, and regulatory standards.

Lead testing, commissioning, performance verification, and client handover activities.

Identify and mitigate project risks to ensure timely and cost‑effective project execution.

Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams and junior engineers.

Prepare as‑built documentation, O&M manuals, commissioning reports, and project closeout documentation.

Requirements

Education & Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, Power Engineering, or related engineering discipline.

Professional Engineer (PE) certification and/or Solar PV‑related certifications will be an added advantage.

Valid safety certifications (e.g., CIDB, Green Card, NIOSH, or equivalent) are preferred.

Experience

Minimum 5 years' experience in Solar PV engineering, design, and project execution within EPCC environments.

Proven experience in delivering C&I and/or Utility-Scale Solar PV projects from design through commissioning.

Experience managing project schedules, budgets, contractors, suppliers, and client stakeholders.

Hands‑on experience in site supervision, testing, commissioning, and performance verification of Solar PV systems.

Strong knowledge of Solar PV system design, electrical engineering principles, and energy yield analysis.

Proficient in PVsyst, Helioscope, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office applications.

Familiarity with grid interconnection requirements, electrical protection systems, and relevant industry standards.

Good understanding of local authority regulations, utility requirements, and HSE standards.
