Job summary

Kum Fatt Engineering Sdn Bhd (KFESB) is recruiting a Project Manager to oversee complex civil and engineering projects in Malaysia. You will lead planning, execution, and coordination across disciplines, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to standards.

Reporting to the Head of Department, you will manage a feasible team, liaise with clients, manage risks, and ensure quality and budget compliance while driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years' experience in Construction, Engineering, or Utility Services.
Site supervision and/or design experience is required.
Strong leadership, teamwork, and communication abilities.
Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 is an advantage.
Ability to work under pressure and lead project teams.

Responsibilities

Plan and execute projects to meet schedule and budget.
Lead project team and foster collaboration.
Communicate with clients and stakeholders effectively.
Identify and mitigate project risks.
Maintain quality standards and deliverables.
Control project budgets and costs.
Define and manage project scope to prevent scope creep.
Ensure timely project completion.
Document changes and report status to management.
Aim for client satisfaction and continuous improvement.

Responsibility

Ensure projects are well-planned, on schedule, and within budget.
Manage and lead project team, fostering collaboration and productivity.
Effectively communicate with clients, team members, and other stakeholders.
Identify and mitigate project risks to ensure successful delivery.
Maintain project quality standards and ensure deliverable meet requirements.
Manage project budgets and control costs.
Define and manage project scope to prevent scope creep.
Ensure projects are completed on time.
Handle changes in project scope and objectives effectively.
Maintain project documentation and provide regular status reports.
Ensure client satisfaction by meeting their expectations.

Academic Qualification

Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering / Mechanical / Electrical or equivalent.

Skills & Experience

Minimum 5 years’ experience in Construction / Engineering/ Utility Services or relevant fields.
Site supervision and/or design experience is compulsory.
Self-motivated and a team player.
Must be able to lead a team and work under pressure
Good communication & correspondence skills with Microsoft Office knowledge.
Well versed with contract engineering specifications by law/ standard for Construction/Engineering/Utility
Strong analytical skills.
Leadership style and interpersonal skills suitable for directing, training and motivating subordinate staff.
Able to work independently without close supervision.
Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 is add advantage.
