Job summary

Kum Fatt Engineering Sdn Bhd (KFESB) is seeking a site coordination professional to monitor subcontractors and ensure installation, servicing, and maintenance meet project drawings, specifications, and schedules. You will support the Project Engineer with LKS preparation, BQ claims, and as-built documentation.

Fresh graduates are welcome; prior utilities/HDD/cable project exposure is a plus. You will travel to project sites across Malaysia and collaborate with multiple stakeholders to uphold

Responsibilities

• Monitor and coordinate the works of subcontractors.
• Assist in live utility tracing works and update trial hole photographs.
• Prepare Laporan Kerja Siap (LKS) including BQ claim details and as-built drawings.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and internal departments on project matters.
• Prepare project checklists, including UDM, site visit forms, HDD routes and profiles, and project completion documentation.
• Attend site measurements and valuation of progress claims with subcontractors.
• Prepare departmental reports for presentation at Monthly Management Meetings.
• Carry out duties assigned by Management from time to time.

Job description

To monitor and coordinate the works of subcontractors.

Ensure installation, servicing, and maintenance works are carried out in accordance with drawings, contract specifications, and work schedules.

Identify and resolve site issues promptly to ensure smooth project execution.

Provide site photographs and progress updates to the Project Engineer and Project Manager.

Assist in live utility tracing works and update trial hole photographs.

Ensure project execution complies with the client's quality standards.

Attend site measurements and valuation of progress claims together with subcontractors.

Monitor project quality plans, work programmes, and ensure installation, servicing, and maintenance works comply with drawings, contract specifications, and project schedules.

Assist the Project Engineer in preparing and compiling the Laporan Kerja Siap (LKS), including BQ claim details, BQ claim summaries, as-built drawings, HDD profiles, and site photographs.

Assist the Project Engineer in preparing and compiling project checklist documents, including Underground Detection Mapping (UDM), utility notification letters, site visit forms, work plans, proposed HDD routes and profiles, live tracing videos, entry and exit pit photographs, method statements, work schedules, as-built drawings, HDD profiles, and project completion documentation.

Compile all incoming Delivery Orders and submit them to the office for record keeping.

Carry out any other duties assigned by Management from time to time.

Prepare departmental reports for presentation by the Head of Department during the Monthly Management Meeting.

Authority :

Recommend the selection of supplier.

Evaluate the supplier performance.

Reject the purchased material which is not to the specification of purchased material or has defect.

Evaluate the purchasing procedure and recommend any necessary changes.

Academic Qualification :

Coordinate and supervise subcontractors to ensure works are carried out according to project requirements.

Recommend corrective actions to resolve site issues and improve project progress.

Verify completed works before submission for inspection and progress claims.

Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and internal departments on project matters.

Escalate technical issues and project risks to the Project Engineer or Project Manager when necessary.

Skills & Experience :

Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Candidates with experience in utilities, HDD, cable installation, or construction projects will have an added advantage.

Able to work independently while contributing effectively as a team player.

Strong leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.

Willing to travel and work at project sites throughout Malaysia.

Good communication, interpersonal, and report-writing skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

Able to read engineering drawings and coordinate site activities effectively.

Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System and utility construction practices will be an added advantage.
