Stampede Solution is seeking a talented Software Engineer (PHP) to join our engineering team in Bangsar South, Kuala Lumpur. This is a full-time role where you will develop and maintain PHP-based applications powering our digital solutions.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, build, and deliver high-quality software that meets client needs and drives business growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field, or equivalent.
• Experience developing PHP applications using frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
• Proficiency with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Experience with unit testing and test-driven development.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and teamwork.
• Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts clearly.
• Preferred: cloud platforms (AWS/Google Cloud/Azure); Docker; and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

As a Software Engineer, you will be at the heart of our technical operations, collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, build, and deliver high-quality software products that meet our clients' needs and drive business growth.

What you’ll be doing

• Develop, test, and deploy PHP applications and web services using modern frameworks and best practices
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code that adheres to established coding standards
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members to ensure code quality
• Debug and troubleshoot issues in production and development environments, implementing effective solutions

What we’re looking for

• Experience with version control systems, preferably Git, and familiarity with collaborative development workflows
• Experience with unit testing and test-driven development practices
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Preferred: Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure; familiarity with containerisation technologies like Docker; and knowledge of CI/CD pipelines
