Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an SMT Technician to maintain and monitor SMT processes and systems. The role includes supporting AOI, SPI, X-ray, wave solder and rework equipment, and programming the X-ray inspection machine.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in electronics manufacturing, a diploma in EE/ME/Engineering Technology, and familiarity with SMT components and IPC-610/J-STD001 criteria. Senawang, Negeri Sembilan work location.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years in electronic manufacturing.
• Diploma in EE, ME, or Engineering Technology.
• Experience with SMT equipment: AOI, SPI, X-ray, wave solder and rework tools.
• Ability to read engineering documentation and IPC-610/J-STD001.
• Willing to work in Senawang, Negeri Sembilan.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• SMT Technician will primarily be responsible for maintaining and monitoring processes and operating systems for the SMT department.
• Will be expected to support SMT equipment, AOI, SPI, Xray, Wave solder machine and rework equipment.
• Program Xray inspection machine.
• Debug, and maintain SMT pick and place equipment.
• Create soldering profiles for SMT reflow ovens and wave solder and rework equipment.
• Finetune the SPI (solder paste inspection) machines inspection criteria.
• Monitors and improves efficiency, output, and safety of manufacturing processes.
• Communicate with supervisors and peers to resolve issues.
• Participate in company or special training classes with emphasis on employee improvement.
• Contributes to departmental efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
