Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an SMT Equipment Engineer to lead assigned processes, monitor yield and process performance, and optimize SPI/AOI inspection, solder paste application, component placement and reflow profiles.

You will set up and operate SMT equipment including printers, SPI, pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens and AOI systems, perform maintenance, and develop preventive maintenance plans while training staff.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
At least three years of experience in SMT PCBA process and equipment engineering.
Familiar with SMT manufacturing processes and defect analysis from equipment, and proposing improvement solutions.
Proficient in equipment maintenance and programming for SMT equipment.

Responsibilities

Lead assigned SMT processes and monitor SMT yield and process performance, including SPI and AOI inspection, solder paste application, component placement, and reflow soldering profiles.
Set up and operate SMT equipment, including solder printers, SPI, pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, and AOI systems; conventional and selective wave soldering machines.
Monitor and analyze equipment performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement necessary adjustments.
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of SMT equipment to minimize downtime and ensure efficient operation.
Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans and procedures for SMT equipment, and provide training to relevant personnel.
