Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an SMT Technician to support setup, loading, and verification of SMT lines, including printers, pick-and-place, SPI/AOI, and reflow equipment. The role involves ensuring production flow, changeover, and first article verification while maintaining high quality standards.

Ideal candidates have a Diploma/Certificate in Electronics or related field, 1–3 years SMT experience, and familiarity with PCB assembly, BOMs, IPC-A-610 standards, and measurement tools.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Certificate in Electronics, Mechatronics, Engineering or related field.
• Preferred 1–3 years of experience in SMT manufacturing.
• Knowledge of PCB assembly processes and SMT components.
• Ability to read drawings, BOMs and work instructions.
• Basic understanding of IPC standards (IPC-A-610).

Responsibilities

• Set up solder paste printers, pick-and-place machines, SPI, AOI and reflow ovens.
• Load feeders, components and materials; perform verification.
• Perform program loading and alignment checks.
• Manage changeover and first article verification.
• Monitor machine performance and maintain production flow.
• Diagnose misalignment, tombstoning, solder bridging and missing components.
• Troubleshoot feeders, nozzle, vacuum issues and machine errors.
• Optimize printing parameters and reflow profiles; support process improvements.
• Review SPI/AOI results and ensure IPC-A-610 compliance.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and record activities.
