Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an SMT Equipment Engineer to lead assigned processes, monitor yield and process performance, and optimize SPI/AOI inspection, solder paste application, component placement and reflow profiles.

You will set up and operate SMT equipment including printers, SPI, pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens and AOI systems, perform maintenance, and develop preventive maintenance plans while training staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• At least three years of experience in SMT PCBA process and equipment engineering.
• Familiar with SMT manufacturing processes and defect analysis from equipment, and proposing improvement solutions.
• Proficient in equipment maintenance and programming for SMT equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead assigned SMT processes and monitor SMT yield and process performance, including SPI and AOI inspection, solder paste application, component placement, and reflow soldering profiles.
• Set up and operate SMT equipment, including solder printers, SPI, pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, and AOI systems; conventional and selective wave soldering machines.
• Monitor and analyze equipment performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement necessary adjustments.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of SMT equipment to minimize downtime and ensure efficient operation.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans and procedures for SMT equipment, and provide training to relevant personnel.
