Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an SMT Supervisor/Operator to drive machine utilization and optimize production processes at our Penang facility. You will lead a team, monitor hourly status, and ensure equipment reliability while maintaining a clean, safe workspace.

Responsibilities include supervising on-set up and operation, escalating issues to the SMT Supervisor when needed, and ensuring records are accurately maintained to meet daily production targets.

Qualifications

• Diploma / technical qualification or equivalent manufacturing experience.
• 2 years SMT/manufacturing experience.
• Good understanding of SMT processes and production flow.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Good time management and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Drive machine utilization and operational efficiency with minimal downtime.
• Monitor and adjust production processes to optimize efficiency and output.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues and equipment malfunctions.
• Support on set up and operation of machines when needed.
• Escalate issues to the SMT Production Supervisor, especially in cases of high fallout.
• Meet or exceed daily production standards set by the SMT Production Supervisor.
• Identify and develop potential operator to handle appropriate equipment and encourage high throughput, quality, and efficiency.
• Ensure all production machinery is maintained in good working condition.
• Maintain a clean work environment and ensure equipment cleanliness at all times.
• Accurately and promptly complete all production records and reports, either in the system or in the required format.
• Guide and support operators in developing the skills required for their roles.
• Monitor and update hourly production status.
• Perform any ad-hoc tasks as assigned by your direct superior.
