KES International is seeking an Electronics/Mechatronics professional to improve SMT and PCBA manufacturing processes in a fast-paced electronics environment in Malaysia. You will develop, evaluate, and optimize processes, conduct DOE, and support production with SPC and CAPA activities.
Responsibilities include optimizing SMT equipment, AOI programming, and improving yield and productivity while ensuring IPC standards compliance. Degree or diploma in electronics-related field is required.

This role focuses on improving yield, quality, and efficiency while ensuring smooth day-to-day manufacturing operations in a fast-paced electronics environment.
Develop, evaluate, and improve SMT and PCBA manufacturing processes.
Optimize process parameters for:
Pick & Place Machines
Reflow Soldering
Wave Soldering
Conduct process validation, qualification, and standardization activities.
Perform Design of Experiments (DOE) to improve process capability and yield.
Provide daily engineering support to production lines.
Troubleshoot process and quality issues, implementing timely corrective actions.
Work closely with Production and QA teams to ensure smooth line operations.
Monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Implement and monitor Statistical Process Control (SPC).
Ensure compliance with IPC standards (e.g., IPC-A-610).
Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
Maintain and improve process documentation and work instructions.
Set up and optimize SMT equipment and machine parameters.
Perform AOI (Automatic Optical Inspection) programming and optimization.
Develop and fine-tune reflow oven profiles based on product requirements.
Support machine troubleshooting and coordinate maintenance when required.
Identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce defects, and lower costs.
Support machine utilization tracking and efficiency reporting.
Participate in new product introduction (NPI) and design reviews (DFM/DRR).
Lead or support process improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
Degree or Diploma in Electronics, Electrical, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 2–4 years of experience in SMT / PCBA manufacturing environment.
Hands-on experience with SMT processes and equipment is required.
Strong knowledge of SMT processes, PCBA assembly, and production flow.
Familiarity with IPC-A-610 standards.
Experience with DOE, SPC, and process validation.
Knowledge of AOI systems and SMT machine programming (e.g., Yamaha, Fuji, Panasonic) is an advantage.
Proficient in MS Office and data analysis.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
