Job summary

Nation Gate Computing Sdn Bhd in Perai, Penang, seeks an experienced SMT Production Supervisor for a full-time, on-site role. You will oversee the SMT line, manage schedules, ensure quality, and drive continuous improvement with the production team.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in electronics manufacturing, strong SMT knowledge, and proven leadership. You will implement safety standards and coordinate with maintenance to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in a production supervisory role in electronics/SMT.
• Knowledge of SMT processes, equipment and QC procedures.
• Ability to read schedules, drawings and specs.
• Familiarity with health, safety and environmental standards.
• Experience with production management systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily production activities on SMT line and ensure equipment runs efficiently.
• Monitor schedules and meet targets while upholding quality standards.
• Inspect products at various stages to address quality issues promptly.
• Train, mentor, and support operators and technicians on SOPs and safety.
• Manage workforce scheduling and staffing levels on the line.
• Identify process improvements and reduce waste with corrective actions.
• Maintain production records and report metrics to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Investigate production issues, breakdowns and operational challenges.
• Liaise with maintenance for servicing and repairs with minimal disruption.
• Foster a collaborative team culture and continuous improvement.
