Job summary

Eastool Industries Sdn Bhd in Kulai, Johor, is seeking a disciplined SMT Production Technician to manage daily SMT line operations, program machines, set up and optimise parameters to improve efficiency and quality.

You will perform preventive maintenance, support AOI/SPI processes, document procedures, and collaborate with QA and production to drive continuous improvement while complying with ISO 13485 and IATF 16949.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support daily SMT production line operations.
• Programm SMT machines, set up, changeover, and optimise parameters.
• Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot SMT equipment.
• Monitor SMT line performance to ensure smooth production.
• Assist in troubleshooting SMT-related defects and issues.
• Optimize SMT process parameters for better efficiency and quality.
• Support AOI and SPI processes to ensure product quality.
• Coordinate with international teams on technical issues and setup.
• Participate in technical training and knowledge transfer.
• Maintain SMT machine records, maintenance schedules and data.
• Work with production and quality teams to resolve issues.
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce downtime and raise efficiency.
• Support compliance with ISO 13485 and IATF 16949 requirements.

Job description

1. Manage and support daily operations of the SMT production line.

2. Perform SMT machine programming, setup, changeover, and parameter optimisation.

3. Conduct preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of SMT equipment to minimise machine downtime.

4. Monitor SMT line performance and ensure smooth production operations.

5. Support troubleshooting of SMT-related defects and production issues.

6. Monitor and optimise SMT process parameters to improve production efficiency and product quality.

7. Support AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) and SPI (Solder Paste Inspection) processes to ensure product quality.

8. Coordinate with international team on technical issues, machine setup, programming, and process improvement.

9. Participate in technical training and knowledge transfer from internal team.

10. Maintain SMT machine records, maintenance schedules, programming data, and technical documentation.

11. Work closely with production and quality teams to resolve manufacturing issues.

12. Drive continuous improvement activities to improve SMT line efficiency and reduce downtime.

13. Support compliance with applicable quality management system requirements, including ISO 13485 and IATF 16949. Previous experience with either standard is an added advantage.
