Job summary

TECAN CDMO SOLUTIONS PN SDN. BHD. is seeking a Validation/Process Engineer in Malaysia to validate data, processes, and deliverables, ensuring quality standards are met and timelines are adhered to.

You will develop PCBA manufacturing processes including SMT, Through-Hole, and wave soldering, and support NPI with process flow and tooling decisions. Qualifications

• Degree/Advanced Diploma in Engineering is required.
• 3–5 years of PCBA manufacturing or process engineering experience needed.
• Strong troubleshooting and statistical process control skills required.

Responsibilities

• Validate data, documents, processes and deliverables against requirements and standards.
• Develop and maintain PCBA manufacturing processes including SMT and wave soldering.
• Improve production processes to increase efficiency, yield, and quality while reducing cycle time and costs.
• Support NPI by defining process flow, equipment needs, and tooling.
• Ensure manufacturability and IPC-A-610 compliance with design and quality teams.
• Perform root cause analysis and corrective actions for process issues.
• Optimize soldering parameters for SMT reflow and wave soldering.
• Create work instructions, validation reports, and SOPs.

Job description

Responsible for carrying out validation activities to ensure data, processes, and deliverables meet defined requirements, quality standards, and business expectations. Maintain accurate validation records, prepare reports, monitor findings, and ensure all validation activities are completed within the required timelines and in accordance with established procedures.

Key Duties

• Perform validation and verification of data, documents, processes, and deliverables against defined requirements and standards.
• Develop and maintain PCBA manufacturing processes including SMT, Through-Hole, wave soldering, hand soldering, and final assembly.
• Analyze and improve current production processes to increase efficiency, yield, and quality while reducing cycle time and costs.
• Support New Product Introductions (NPI) by defining process flow, equipment requirements, and tooling for new assemblies.
• Work closely with design, quality, and production teams to ensure manufacturability and compliance with industry standards (IPC-A-610)
• Perform root cause analysis and corrective actions for process and quality-related issues.
• Optimize soldering parameters for SMT reflow and wave soldering processes.
• Develop and maintain detailed work instructions, Validation reports and standard operating procedures.
• Participating in all meeting as required. Exp. Sample run, FMEA.KPI meeting.
• Provide training to trainers and technicians on PCBA processes and quality standards.
• Fabricate jig and fixtures and register into system.

Education

• Degree/ Advanced Diploma in Engineering or equivalent
• 3–5 years of experience in PCBA manufacturing or process engineering.
