Job summary

HANRILIGHTING is seeking an experienced SMT Engineer in Malaysia to oversee the SMT assembly process, optimize production efficiency, and troubleshoot technical issues on the production lines. The role requires collaboration with design, QA, and production teams to improve process reliability and yield.

The ideal candidate has a degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, 3+ years in SMT-related work, and fluency in Mandarin, English, and Malay.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level engineering degree or equivalent is required.
• 3+ years in a similar SMT/engineering role preferred.
• Strong ability to read technical drawings and product designs.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and optimize SMT assembly processes for quality and efficiency.
• Manage and maintain SMT equipment including pick-and-place machines and inspection systems.
• Conduct root cause analysis to resolve SMT production issues.
• Collaborate with design, QA, and production teams to improve yield.
• Create and maintain process documents, procedures, and quality standards.
• Perform process capability studies and drive continuous improvement.
• Train operators and technicians on SMT processes and equipment.
• Monitor production metrics and prepare management reports.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.

As a full-time SMT Engineer, you will play a vital role in our operations, overseeing the SMT assembly process, ensuring quality standards, optimizing production efficiency, and troubleshooting technical issues on the production lines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and optimize SMT assembly processes to ensure high product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
• Manage and maintain SMT equipment, including pick-and-place machines and inspection systems.
• Conduct root cause analysis and resolve technical issues related to SMT production lines.
• Collaborate with design, quality assurance, and production teams to improve process reliability and yield.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, including setup procedures, work instructions, and quality standards.
• Perform process capability studies and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Train operators and technicians on SMT process best practices and equipment handling.
• Monitor production metrics and generate reports for management review.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• At least 3 years working experience in relevant field
• Ability to understand drawing of technical and product design
• Able to work independently with minimum guidance.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, 14002 & 45001
• Fluent in both spoken & written Mandarin (a must), English and Malay languages. We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
• Computer literate
• Able to start work in short period will be an added advantage
